Take a walk along the bank of Rennie’s River and Quidi Vidi Lake.

Along the park trail you will spot many species of birds, rabbits, foxes and other wildlife. We have many green space areas where you can sit and listen to the calls of nature and views of our wetlands. In summer we offer picnic lunches to enjoy on a nice grassy area, picnic table or under a shade tree.

This trail good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and nature trips.

Outside Learning

Along the trail you will find educational signage of our wetlands, marshes, plants, freshwater species, and more.  Our outdoor education hut is a fun place to sit and teach students about the importance of the nature around them.

Take In Nature

Enjoy 7.5 km of scenic walking trail, including bridges and look-out areas. The trail offers a diversity of landscapes and levels of difficulty as you weave through forests and barrens, beside wetlands and rivers.

It is proven that spending time in nature is good for your mental health. Exposure to green spaces can relieve stress, fear, anger and even helps with creativity. The Fluvarium has many areas around our building and on the trail to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
