Are you afraid of the dark?
Me too…
But on March 27th, 2021, turning off the lights won’t be so scary! Even the monsters hiding under the bed will be coming together and joining us to celebrate Earth Hour, because all together, we can make a difference.
Have you ever thought about how magical planet Earth truly is? The Earth works hard every day by constantly providing us with clean air, water, and food to keep us happy, healthy, and thriving.
Like any adult will tell you (especially the parents!), a little nap can be the most incredible pick me up, so let’s all get together and give planet Earth the gift of a little snooze. On March 27th, 2021, at 8:30 PM, turn off all your lights and devices and celebrate Earth Hour with us! Stuck for ideas on what to do? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered!
FUN CONTEST ALERT!
Art is a language we can all understand, and historically, it has been used as a way to raise and spread awareness about a variety of topics. Getting in touch with your artistic side can also be incredibly fun and therapeutic! This is why, for Earth Hour, we want to see YOU get your artistry on.
Colouring is a super easy and fun way to start the creativity juices flowing! All you need is something to colour (we’ve added some printable colouring sheets for you below) and some pencils, crayons, or markers. Now you can let your imagination go wild!
Feeling like a true Picasso? Draw something totally original for Earth Hour and show us what your artistic skills are made of!
Feeling a little more adventurous than Picasso? Grab whatever materials you can find and make the Earth! Use playdough, paint, paper mâché – ANYTHING you want!
Don’t forget to send us your art projects with your name and age attached! You can find our Facebook page linked below where you can either post your art or send us a private message.
The winner of each category will win a one-time FREE ADMISSION pass to The Fluvarium! The contest will close Sunday night, March 28th, at midnight. We can’t wait to see what you’ve done to help raise awareness for the fight against climate change!
